What is the difference between made-to-order (MTO) items and MTO specialty color?

There are price differences between a MTO item and a MTO item specialty color.

Can you buy a MTO item in a quantity less than 1,000 feet?

Yes, you can inquire about a 300-foot run which costs 1-1/2 times the 1,000-foot price. This is available as a one-time trial only.

What is the lead time for MTO items?

Typically, the lead time is 4-6 weeks after receipt of order. If there is a specific date you require the material at your location, it’s always beneficial for you to share that information with us. We will do our best to exceed your expectations.

Can I combine colors to meet the minimum order requirement?

No.

What is the minimum order requirement to buy direct?

The minimum order is $10,000. If the material is made to order there is a 1,000-foot run requirement.  All orders will be considered shipped complete at +/- 10% of the item total.

Why don’t you stock items?

In order to keep costs low for you, we do not stock products. We commit ourselves to an extremely lean in-house inventory.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we can ship worldwide.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payments may be made by check, money order or credit card. We accept Visa, Master Card and Discover Card.

What is the safest way to heat TPU coated webbing?

Each TPU coated product order is accompanied by safety guidelines.  Click to view it here.

Will insect repellents harm BioThane?

Insect repellents may cause staining or pitting on TPU/PVC coated belts and leather products. Many insect repellents use DEET as an active ingredient which will pit/stain Polyurethane products.

When it is necessary to use a repellent which uses DEET, we suggest an embossed Granite belt as the most durable alternative. Another alternative would be to use an all-natural/organic insect repellent.

Will this product hold rivets?

Yes, all of BioThane products will hold rivets.

What products do you recommend to disinfect BioThane?

We recommend the following to disinfect our belts (choose ONE of the following):

  1. 10% bleach solution (take the bleach out of the bottle, at 6.5% active ingredient, and dilute 1 part to 9 parts water)
  2. Envirocide (follow directions on bottle).*
  3. Cavicide (follow directions on bottle).*

*We do not specifically endorse the effectiveness of these products only that they will not harm BioThane in proper use.  For additional information on Envirocide please visit http://www.metrex.com/products/surface-disinfectants/envirocide or for additional information on Cavicide please visit http://www.metrex.com/products/surface-disinfectants/cavicide.

What is the best way to ship or store Beta color rolls or finished products?

Beta colors should be displayed, stored or shipped without contacting other colors due to potential migration of one color to the other. Fluorescent colors are the most susceptible. We recommend that you don’t store different colored rolls together or at least keep each roll or product in plastic bags to prevent color transfer.

Will Beta colors "bleed" or transfer onto other surfaces like hair, skin, or fabric?

It is possible for certain colors, especially fluorescent colors, to transfer from the Beta rolls or finished products onto hair, skin or fabric. These colors are not hazardous and they should not present a health or safety hazard.  If color transfer happens, wash with soap and water. If irritation persists, get medical attention.  For additional product information, please click here.
